Radiant Floor Heating
Energy-Efficient, Luxury Radiant Floor Heating
Comfort by Nature, has a number of different heating techniques, as you will see through our other HVAC services, but radiant floor heating is definitely one of our favorites! In comparison to forced air, the water in our radiant floor systems have the capacity to put out energy that is approximately 3,500 times greater than forced air, which means that our radiant floor systems can both heat and cool your space while using MUCH less energy than a traditional forced air system. In turn cutting down your energy bill, increasing your comfort and giving you the ability to adjust your heat with freedom!
How does it work?
When you have a radiant floor system installed in your home or commercial building, you are essentially having a water heater placed underneath your floors. What we mean by this is that cross-linked polyethylene tubing is placed underneath a rooms floors. Through this tubing flows warm water that effectively heats every zone / area of the room with its natural heat, and energy output. This water is controlled via heat sources, pumps, manifolds and controls that are all available for you to monitor. And because each zone of your home or building is set up with a separate set of cross-linked polyethylene tubing, you gain the luxury of maintaining different temperatures in every room if you so desire. In addition to hydronic radiant floor heating, there are also electric radiant floor heating and air-heated radiant floor heating. Learn more about radiant heating.
