A geothermal system is very similar to a heat pump but on a much larger scale. How it works, is that it heats cold homes, and commercial buildings via the heat from the earth, and cools these same buildings during warm weather by removing the heat and replacing it back into the earth. A strange concept to grasp, but it is one that has been proven to work! There are four types of geothermal systems that we offer, and all have been deemed to be some of the most efficient ways to reduce both residential and commercial energy bills.

Those include:
  • Open Loop – which uses existing ground water as a heat transfer medium.
  • Pond Loop – which uses water is nearby ponds/lakes to absorb and gather heat
  • Horizontal Loop – which uses a heat transfer tube that extends out instead of down
  • Vertical Loop – which uses heat transfer tubes that extend directly down

Comfort by Nature is the largest supplier of geothermal systems in all of Northern Colorado, and is dedicated to making every geothermal installation, Energy Star installation, and HVAC service, one that saves our customers the big bucks.
